WongaGyal x Yello Juice Bar: Scotchie Rumrita

Nothing says summer time in Jamaica like an ice cold mixed drink featuring some white rum! Whether you're spending the day at the beach, hosting a games night or getting ready for a party, the Scotchie Rum-Rita is a perfect way to cool down while heating up.

The rum is here to give you a good time, but there are a number of other health benefits that this drink offers.

Scotch Bonnet peppers have historically been used as a painkiller for simple aches like headaches to more chronic issues like osteoarthritis and rheumatoid pain. The capsaicin present in the scotch bonnet helps to block pain messages being sent to your nerves. Additionally, scotch bonnet peppers have been linked to reducing the risk of cancer and preventing bad breath!

Then there's the pineapple. One piece of pineapple contains tons of nutrients like Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, Magnesium, Folate, Potassium and Iron, as well as many disease fighting antioxidants. Pineapples have been shown to also increase immunity, reduce inflammation and have anti-carcinogenic properties. The bromelain in pineapples have also proven to speed up recovery after strenuous exercise... like from all the dirt bouncing, flinging and tiktok routines you'll be performing when the white rum hits.

Who knew a mixed drink could be so good for you?!
